Dancing Group "PODILLYA" was founded in 1975. In 1975 it was honorary entitled the "Folk Dancing Group of Ukraine". During 27 years of its dancing experience, the group showed nearly 2200 concerts for people of various audience. It has always been a heat with the public in Ukraine and abroad. The best Ukrainian traditions are presented in the concert program of the group. The variety of costumes and dancing elements appeal to the heart of our spectators. Many times our group was a laureate of a great number of International Festivals in such European countries as Bulgaria (1978), Finland (1979), Poland (1985), Canada (1985), France (1987, 1994-2001), Portugal (1989, 1994, 1995,2003,2004), Denmark (1990), Holland (1994, 1995), Italy (1993,1994,1996), Spain (2001-2004) as well as in some countries of African continent "PODILLYA" took part in cultural program of the Moscow Olympic Games (1980) and International Youth Festival in Moscow. The group is very often on Ukrainian television.
In 1992 dancing group "PODILLYA" was 2-nd best among 50 folk ensembles. It has diplomas from many festivals and dancing competitions. For its good artistic performing manner it is considered to be one of the most professional groups in Podillya region for many years. Its rich repertoire consists of 23 folk dances and choreographic compositions of all Ukrainian regions as well as dances of Russian, Moldavian, Bellarussian people. Due to consistent and exhausted work of the participants of the group people from all over the world can enjoy such brilliant compositions as "Gopak", "Kolomyky", "Kozachok" and many other. There are professional musicians and singers who accompany the dancing group during concerts. They perform folk songs, ancient ballads, beautiful melodies and pieces of classical music. Today dancing group "PODILLYA" consists of 50 dancers and 300 people in children preliminary groups. The members of "PODILLYA" are people devoted to art and folk dances, who make their best to present show of high proficiency giving to people good understanding of Ukrainian folk life.
